It seems so boring to say.  Why not sing it like we tried last week?

Tip of the week: listen and sing-a-long

Vocabulary needs to be revised, What could be better than studying vocabulary by singing your favourite songs?

Read the lyrics and enjoy the song. You don’t have to translate the lyrics word by word, just try to find out what the song is all about. 

Pick some words or phrases from the song that you would like to learn. If necessary, look up their exact meaning in a dictionary. 

Now,  all you have to do is listening to the song again and again (no problem - it’s one of your favourite songs!).

Let the music turn you on.

Use your search engine (google, safari, firefox,etc.) Put the name of your favorite song + lyrics into search. Go!

Everyone wants to listen to music that resonates with them. We want to listen to songs about life… the joys, pain, and everything in between. Especially when we go through a breakup, we want to listen to songs about love and heartache. In fact, singers can make beaucoup bucks with these songs. One famous example is Adele.

Adele wrote many famous songs about her ex. But now her ex isn’t very happy. She made a lot of money singing about him, and he wants a slice of the pie. Singers can sing about their lives, but there are laws that protect the identities of people, even the person’s ex-girlfriend or boyfriend. And if the person inspired the song, should they get some of the money?

1. Part 1 - listen to 8 recordings, each with one question
2. Part 2 - listen and complete gapped sentences
3. Part 3 - multiple matching, 5 speakers
4. Part 4 - a longer recording, with 7 multiple choice questions

• Listen! The more English you listen to the better your will do. Listen to the radio, English language TV, podcasts...
• You will hear the audio twice
